Coaching

Transformational growth for the dentist entrepreneur.

Accelerated & Predictable Success

Shared Practices has all the tools and expertise to guide you in becoming a successful dental entrepreneur.

We thrive on what is important to YOU. Whether that’s more time, more money or more of both, our proven systems work. We have helped dentists grow their practices by an average of 39% – we can do that for you too!

We’ve worked with hundreds of dentists, dentists that are just like you – who believe in the potential of their practice but need help to realize that potential. Our coaching program breaks the mold of traditional dental consulting and offers a way to better understand your practice. With the help of seasoned dental coaches and analytics, you are able to make strategic decisions that impact not only your practice but your life and the lives of your team members.

Dentistry has evolved and at Shared Practices we have developed proven business solutions to meet any challenge that comes your way. For most dentists, the clinical part comes easy. What’s challenging is all the other aspects of being a dental entrepreneur. Many dentists try to implement systems and train their teams on their own. It may take years to figure it all out. With the help of a coach, that time could be substantially reduced so you can live your vision sooner.

Starting a practice can be challenging and overwhelming. Our Coaching Team of experts guide you through this complex process in a systematic and seamless manner. Once you have chosen your ideal location and have built-out your dream practice, we can help put all the rest of the pieces in place to ensure you can hit the ground running.

It is our goal that the systems we implement with the team are ones that outlive the practice. All of our core processes, scripts and tools are documented so as the practice grows, the processes can be adopted by any new team members.

How are we different?

The coaching at Shared Practices is not like the average coaching. Thank Goodness! Most coaching programs will FAIL you. Because they use cookie-cutter advice and industry standard benchmarks. At Shared Practices, we don’t use templated approaches or a one-size fits all approach because that won’t grow your practice.

With one-on-one sessions tailored to your specific needs, our coaches work with you to identify your strengths and weaknesses, set realistic and measurable goals, and develop a plan to help you achieve them.

Ask yourself – Is what I’m doing now PROFITABLE? Is it SIMPLE? Is it SUSTAINABLE?

If you’ve answered “no” to any one of the above questions, you may be jeopardizing long term gain by implementing short term solutions. Many dentists have felt the demands of doing clinical dentistry and leading a team. More often than not building the practice has meant time away from family, added stress and a general feeling of overwhelm. Our proven systems generate an average of 37% in additional revenue so that you become more profitable. We help you work smarter and not harder, making things simpler. Our hands-on approach and training with your team ensures the systems we implement stick, so your personal and practice life feels more sustainable and less stressed.

CaitlinEmbree

Coach

Caitlin fell in love with dentistry after taking a Patient Care Coordinator position, upon graduating from the University of Washington in 2014. Prior to her role as a coach with Shared Practices, she spent many years as a Treatment Coordinator before eventually becoming an Office Manager in a busy group practice near downtown Seattle.

After relocating to Arizona in 2020, Caitlin transitioned to a coaching role with Shared Practices as the program was first launching. She has since joined The Shared Practices Podcast as a co-host on the ‘Coaches Corner’ segment, where she discusses key topics that are impacting dentists and their teams today.

Caitlin loves coaching because it allows her to see a dentist’s vision and help them execute on the steps it takes to grow their practice to where they want it to be. She gets fulfillment from building relationships with dental team members and coaching them to reach their fullest potential in their own roles. She continues to bring clear direction to every client she meets and serves as a compassionate sounding board to all clients and their teams.

Traci has found her true calling as a Practice Coach at Shared Practices. She thrives on helping dental professionals and their teams reach new heights, optimize operations, identify growth opportunities, and foster a culture of excellence. "I have been a listener of Shared Practices from Episode 1! I have enjoyed binging the podcast as an associate and practice owner. I love the systematic approach to growth. Dental Moneyball is a must read. I have been working with my coach now for about 9 months and my practice has grown tremendously. My 1-1 coaching experience has been awesome. At times it is very uncomfortable but I can honestly say I have not been steered wrong. It is great to have someone who is looking at the practice from the forest while I only see the practice from the trees. My coach has helped me change my mindset on how to grow and manage my office. Coaching with Shared Practices has been one of the best investments I have made for my office. I wish I started earlier! I attended the hygiene led growth seminar last fall and it was eye opening and very informative. I recommend that course to any practice owner. The staff of Shared Practices are always very accommodating and kind. Thank you for all that you do and keep up the good work!"

“Office wide team meetings with my coach, Caitlin, are critical for implementing a new system. The message resonates with staff much more because it comes from the perspective of a former Office Manager instead of just the Doctor. The meetings are so helpful!”

"Coaching has been wonderful. Not only has my coach helped me gain clarity in my vision for my practice and my life, but she’s been integral to helping execute on the vision and hold me accountable for key growth targets. Would highly recommend!"

"Working with my Shared Practices coach has been crucial throughout my ownership journey. My coach has helped me have confidence in every decision I make for my practice, whether big or small. She's guided me through tough conversations and prepared me for things I didn't see coming. Having frequent check-ins keeps me on track and is something I need, as it's easy to push things aside when you don't want to face them. I am thankful for the coaching and community I have at Shared Practices and look forward to continuing the path of personal and professional growth alongside them!"

“My Shared Practices coach has been an absolute asset for our practice. The coaches have been through what you’re going through and can point out your blind spots. They have the resources to help set up your systems and will meet with your team even without you present (honestly that might be the best thing a coach can do for you). The coach will keep you on track and accountable while moving your practice toward your goals. If you’re on the fence, you should 100% bring one of the Shared Practices coaches on board.”

“It was so helpful having someone help me analyze benchmarks and KPIs. I grew my practice significantly and added several team members and an associate. Having a coach gave me the confidence to do so. I also utilized advertisements, templates, systems, etc. that my coach supplied so I didn't have to recreate the wheel. I loved having my coach meet with team members directly as well, especially when training the team how to use new software or implement new systems.”

“Coaching has been paramount for our practice because it’s shown us ways to improve our practice financially, personally and has shown us ways to improve our team management. Our team has really enjoyed working with our coach on different policy’s protocols and enhancing our overall patient experience.”
